Rut in Lincoln County?

Seen any rutting activity yet? I've been in Kansas and haven't had a chance to get to the farm yet. Hopefully it is getting close!

Lots of young bucks running does. Yet 2 see any older bucks. Maybe all the folks in the woods this weekend will stir em up.

Next weekend theyll be in full rut!!! I came through Lewisburg/Petersburg/fayetteville around 2:30 last night plenty of young bucks chasing!!!

Over there last weekend and bucks were running together .

im up there pretty much every other night so I try keeping up with it post my own thread last night but me and my fiancee watched a young but chase a doe through a parking lot in town she wasnt ready but he was

Bucks i seen yesterday seem 2b going from doe to doe. so i guess the does that are ready have got the mature buck with them.

how did the kansas trip go

Worst trip we've ever had. Only had 1 deer killed the entire week. I hunted two farms hard and only saw 3 shooters.

In addition to the poor rutting activity, the farmer that owns these farms decided to bulldoze my "honey hole" so he could plant another 5 acres of wheat. It was an awesome funnel connecting the solomon river to a huge thicket. The deer loved traveling through there when there was plenty of cover. He changed that significantly. That made us start over and by the time we figured out what they were doing, the week was over. Still a fun trip, but no deer. I did manage to kill a coyote. If you want to see that video let me know and I'll post it.

What part of Kansas were you in? I was in west central from 10/29 to 11/5. Buddy killed a decent 8 pt. I saw one shooter out of the stand the whole trip. Rut seemed to be warming up as we were leaving. Saw a really cool buck fight on the side of the road the last day. 2 nice deer locked up for 10 minutes. Had 3 or 4 cars pulled over looking

P.S. Young bucks pestering does in South Giles right now but have not seen any does in heat yet. I think it will be real good this weekend through Thanksgiving.

Lincoln county should be getting close as well as Giles. I hunt a place around Fayetteville and it is usually around this time. Giles county. is close too. I think it is usually Thanksgiving through December 10. Seen two small bucks this morning with noses on the ground.
