Paddled kayak 3/4 mile up creek climbed walnut tree knocked backpack off climber into water and drowned my $1000 camera and $350 microphone. I am $&#* pissed right now. I bought a protection plan for the camera but I don't know about the mic. Now it's out of the woods till whenever the heck they fix it.

Dang that sucks. At least you have the protection on the camera.

I have a backup camera it's my old one from last year. Right now it's in the truck but I have an action cam on my head. I don't know if I'll see any deer with all the racket I made. Who knows

Sorry catman. That's the advantage of the GoPro; waterproof and nearly indestructible. But, it won't do what your camera will. Hope you can get it replaced soon. Hunting season is here now.

Try putting it in rice
I did, but doubtful it will do any good. There is water in the lens, last time that happened to a camera it dried a spot inside the lens and made the video foggy. I will be filing a claim with the company that does the protection plan. Should be free next day shipping and no deductible. I'm hoping they just reimburse me for a new one.
