Well the water came up like 4 feet Thursday night and that meant nobody could drive to the actual boat ramps at Gooch.
It was actually easier than I expected though.
We were able to put in, go under the trestle then walk the boat across the gravel road then it was a straight shot to the blind.
Only one boat so it took three trips to get everything and everyone in.
Couldn't set our mojos up and only had time to throw out a few dekes.
I was getting everyone's guns out and putting them in their holes.
I knew the floor had a soft spot but never took the time to fix it.
Foot went through and I went down crotch deep with that leg.
Other leg went out to my side. Thankfully my new Smith & Nephew hip took it like a champ.
Landed on my right elbow and while I don't think it broke all the way I know it cracked my collarbone.
Feels just like it did when I broke it in high school playing football.
Day goes on and we kill a few birds and ate great!!!
On the way home man had a bearing go down on his trailer.
Ruined a good tire and trashed the hub.
Gonna get a hub this morning and just use my trailer spare to get to the blind today.
Gonna straighten our dekes out and basically get ready for tomorrow.
We slept in today because I knew I was gonna be really sore plus we couldn't get the trailer fixed last night.
So in summary floors are more important than decoys.
My tip of the day is FIX THE DANG FLOOR FIRST!!!!!

Did it go down before he got to the store at the turnoff? I saw him parked there, but thought he was just waiting for you to travel together.
i should have stopped.

I hate the bad of the day ,like ruger fallin thru. , the trailer hub and tire, and all the chaos of the high water, but it was a great day overall. The best thing was watching two guys who know what they are doing call and work ducks and getting to spend time together enjoying it.

I needed to sleep in today myself since I didn't sleep hardly any Thursday night. i was worse than a kid at Christmas. Excited , you betcha!

I'm about 100% sure it's cracked.
Hurting the same spot as before.
It's manageable but raising my arm kinda sucks lol

Shooting a shotgun is gonna suck....At least you can go and act as the cook if you don't wanna deal with it.
