Are these what you were talking about awhile back? I've had decent luck with the bigger ones but haven't tried the smaller ones yet.

They are awesome on any panfish. I like to fish them on a crappie magnet jig head under a float.

if you cannot catch a fish any other way, you can catch one on those things... they are great... I also use them with crappie magnet heads but I do not use a float

Yes sir, that is them.
I use the 1" size on a 1/64th trout magnet head.
They can't stand it.
If it swims by a fish, it will get ate.

One note:
The ones in the package like you have, I have found to be much more "fragile" verses the ones that come in the small plastic jar.
I have no idea why but the ones in the jar last longer ????

If you can find the jars, they work out to be cheaper per bait as well. Basspro has the 1 inch ones in the jars, I haven't seen the 2.5 in any store in a while sold that way.
