Ruger fish freezing method…..

How long will the frozen fish keep. Providing the fish for a faculty fish fry in may. Will have to feed probably 80 people. So i have been putting it up and will continue through the fall and spring. Will the fish caught in September still be good in May?

I froze some trout fillets in a tub of water back around 2009. Just ate them last month. I told everyone after they were done eating. No one noticed, no one died, and no one got sick. You just need to keep them from getting freezer burnt.

Freeze them in water and they will last for years.

I must say I laugh at all the people who think meat goes bad after 1 year in the freezer... if it is frozen right (I like vacuum packed, it is good for a long time

Add a little buttermilk and the cornmeal will stick better.

Fish will be good for 2 yrs as long as the fish is completely submerged in the water at time of freezing.
