What would a Ruger Deerfield (10/44) rifle be worth unfired in the box? This is the newer model, only made a few years, with the rotary magazine. Thanks in advance.

They seem to range from 400 to 700 down here. The newer ones are not as sought after for some reason though.

I got an original one Made in 1963. It's all I hunt with.....I will never sell it.

Thanks. Yeah, I've seen a few on Gun Owners Club that were from the 60's and 70's. I sold one not too long ago. I did see one of the new models on gunbroker for $744 with two bids. Supposedly unfired, but no box.

That Deerfield is a whole different animal than the standard 44 Carbine as to value. I would say unfired in the box you are well over $1000

Hey Dogmatic, don't you just love that little .44 carbine? When I was a kid living near West Palm Beach my father bought one of the Ruger Carbines. Was probably 1967. I remember his buddies ragging the hell out of him at hunting camp and all he would say is "It's my Warthog Gun". He had a fixed 2.5x Weaver on it and we would hammer the pigs in the palmetto's with that carbine and his Ruger Super Blackhawk. Brings back memories. That little Warthog gun put plenty of meat on the table.
