Make sure you or the dealer checks lower unit before you run it. I have a long story about the 25 mercury on one of my boats. They ship some of them without any lower unit gear oil. Some dealers are not aware of it.
Don't know which brand you are getting but I told myself I would never buy something and not check all oils and lubricants in the future. Can't always depend upon the dealers.
