I got a doe a few days back but haven't seen any bucks yet. I'm hunting near Melton Hill lake from noon to dark today.

i hunt around camp buck toms. i had a decent 8 pt resond to rattling and grunting last week but he didnt really present a shot. i hope to get back in the woods this weekend and deer be moving with the colder temps coming. i think that will really kick things off.

killed my first deer at the camp and killed my biggest buck ever down in that area.

I've been out near melton hill as well 3 mornings this week. Haven't seen much rut activity but I did come across some fresh buck rubs that popped up in the past few days. I did get a small 6 to come investigate with some rattling yesterday morning. Other than that only seen 2 does that I couldn't get a shot on. Hopefully the cold weather this weekend gets the action going

Anyone see anything today? I thought about going to Roane County, but stayed close to home. May go before and after church tomorrow. Hunted my subdivision spot and didnt see anything. ;(

Had a big buck trot right past me this morning grunting just before legal light. I was on the ground getting set up. He didn't care if i was there or not. Saw a spike later cruising back and forth in front of me sniffing the ground. Got circled by two does at 30yds. Was a great morning because my wife was with me for the first time and we watched a lot of deer being deer.

Where I hunt not a deer yet. ba hum bug. ,come home and their standing in the pasture. Go figure, may hunt off the porch from now on. LOL
