This is the last plot I will have done for a while. I love this area and have mixed feelings about putting a plot here. The other side of the two trac is thick as all get out. This area has been great for deer sightings. Hopefully it won't change that to much. I am hoping to get beans in here and then overseed with winter wheat. The cedar to the left in the pic has a lok on in it. Should be a better location than in the past. If not, it will go back to nature.

I think you'll be happy with it. I am expanding my most productive plot this year too. However, I moved the stand another 40 yards from it to take advantage of the best buck travel I've seen around it.

Might have to get another to put on same plot for a different wind.

Richman,

What equipment was used to create that plot?

(And a nice looking one it is too)

As far as I know it was just a dozer. He might have used other equipment but I don't think so. I have had very good luck with him and his work. Always going over and above. Not only has he cut my roads and done my plots but put my septic tank and ran my water lines from my spring. Thanks fir the comment about the plot.

You gonna buckwheat it for the summer?

If we can get a tractor up there this weekend it will be soybeans. Can't get enough of them things. Hopefully have three plots with beans, maybe 4. Talk about all my eggs in one basket.

You are gonna need to buy an electric fence franchise. :)

Na! I am just gonna complain about it in the next several months. Worse case scenario I will over seed with winter wheat. Shoot, I have to get all the bow hunting in this year cause next year the gun lobby is going to jocky for gun season starting in September. Ha!

Disclaimer: The last part of my post was a joke. Please BSK don't show Bowriter this thread. The last thing we need is him over here.

Don't you mean ALL WEAPON season? I believe anyone can hunt with any weapon during what is mistakenly called "gun" season. "Gun" season is also bow season as well as muzzleloader season.

Too funny. :D In good taste I must say, thus the reason I am commenting.

That basket will be full of eggs if you can get them jump started without the deer literally eating them into the ground!
If you have 4 plots you will likely be fine! Looks good and good luck with it!

Nice looking plot Richard. Is that the treestand we setup near the bottleneck?

Yep, can you believe it? My plan was to clean it up and burn it every 2-3 years. After seeing how it turned out I'm going to plant it(for a year) and see how it helps/ hurts my deer hunting. The other side if the road is crazy thick.

Thanks, Winchester.
