I want to Rhino liner my aluminum boat deck.
Pressure washed the flaking paint off and it looks like there was some sort of primer on the shiny aluminum.

Do you have to prime the aluminum before applying?
Any tips or tricks to doing a good job?
Does the black rhino liner get hot?

Thanks!

So I expect Grey would be a better choice?

Who has the best price?

I don't know about priming the aluminum but you will have to "scuff" it up some for the liner to take hold and stick.

There is an acid to etch aluminum before painting. But, for the life of me I can't remember the name. It been many years since I used it. Works great. Ask at a pint store or body shop. Maybe they can tell you the bname.

I wouldn't use Rhino lining, I would go with Line-x in gray. The line-x is much tougher and doesn't get soft in the sun like the rhino does. But it will work well, and also quiet the boat down alot.
