Had one just like it, see thru mounts and all. It was a deer killing machine.
Awesome rifle right there and a good deal to boot!
Seems like everyone I've ever seen had see through mounts. My brother still hunts with one and it does.
They're great brush guns as well, I killed more with open sights than with a scope with mine!
Killed many of deer with this gun in 308!

Had one of these.
Sold it when I moved to Germany in 2009.
Sold all my guns because you aren't allowed to have them over there.
Even air rifles are supposed to be kept under lock at a gun club.
Moved back here in 2011 and had to buy all over again.

Nice rifle, good luck with the sale. Many deer have been killed with that model rifle. I have a 742 carbine that was my uncles before he past. It has the old school Redfield oval eye piece scope and the flip over scope mount/rings. I have been thinking about putting a set of Talley mounts on it and hunting with it. I don't trust the flip over scope mount. LOL...
I have another one with the TV screen type scope that I'm thinking about moving also. It actually looks better than this one and it's a 1971, I believe?

Slaughter 06! Nice looking old school rifle. Funny, you see those see thru mounts on every one and they can be turned any which way.
Looks like regular length to me. My brother had a carbine version and it was much shorter.
Wow, so glad your not close, I would have to add it to my collection even though I don't need it.
