What's the disconnector on the trigger assembly for ? How does it work ? My 7400 is not resetting the trigger on every cycle . I have noticed the disconnector is slightly bent and have been told it could be causing the issue .

The disconnector keeps it from going full auto when you hold the trigger to the rear. Don't see how it could get bent unless trigger group was dropped on a hard surface while out of firearm. There may be some hardened oil/gunk/ debris on hammer notch or disconnector hooks-clean well with a tooth brush and good solvent. If this doesn't fix it then new parts and/or a gunsmith are needed.

A full auto 7400 would be fun, especially if you could find some 10 round mags. But I agree with PH, a thorough cleaning should be done and then check to see if the problem still exists.

I have cleaned it . Twice , I also noticed that some times when pulling bolt back that the disconnector would slip off the rail , it is differently bent just a touch , a new one is 11 bucks . I am going to order one and see if it helps
