Rem. 887 Nitro Mag

I'm needing to get a new shotgun, does anybody have any first hand experience with the new 887? Seems like a good price on them, just looking at different options.

my buddy bought one to duck hunt with and let me shoot it a couple times. i wasnt really impressed with it. id just assume have a 870 supermag. i dont think i would like the 28" barrel for turks either.

I would go with the 870

I was looking at them too, but I've read several forums that included post about the 887.
Generally, people don't seem very impressed.
Like one of the posters here said, currently they only have 28" barrels on them. I decided to pick up another 870.

Yeah I've read the mixed reviews. But I really like a good I could switch from Turkey to Duck/goose.

The 870 may be the best bet.

If I had tons of money to spend I would go with the newer Remington 870's with the thumbhole stock. But for the money its hard to beat a Mossberg 835. I would be careful though about getting a gun that hasn't had many reviews. I've made that mistake before and wont do it again.
