Following up. I planted this freshly cleared 1 1/2 acre in Antler King's Red Zone the 30th of April. It looks like it didn't get wiped out yet. The growth inside the cages matches the plot. Hoping for a few more weeks of low browse pressure.

While it looks a little rough with the debris and stumps still in there, I ran out of time when it was being cleared and had to come back to FL. Probably will just broadcast some stuff in August for the fall and a winter plot after Thanksgiving. At least it will be easier to polish next spring.
 
No, it's a mix of beans, peas, sunflowers and buckwheat. I'll probably mow part of it in august and plant oats and turnips, then some winter peas or wheat after Thanksgiving.
