My daughter's boyfriend's son will have his chance to put his eye out. I bought him a Red Ryder

My daughter is getting one this year. Her first rifle. My wife thinks it's a bad idea for a 3-yr old but I'll be with her all the time, plus....I wanted her to be able to tell her future boyfriend (singular) and husband (singular), that "I've been shooting since I was 3" 😂
My daughter is 19 now, and can say that as well. ;)

I bought two last year for my Grandkids and was very disappointed. The trigger pull is so heavy I barely can pull it. They are not what they used to be. I remember years ago shooting millions of BB's through them things. My mother gave mine away to a cousin who wanted a BB gun. I had put it in the gun cabinet to save it, but mother felt it needed to go.

My FIL got my daughter that exact same one for Christmas this year. Heck, he bought her a little pink .22 rifle when she turned 2 years old. I'll be with her at all times regardless until I'm comfortable enough she knows what she's doing with the BB gun. She's 5 now. We'll work our way up

Cool short video on the history of Daisy. If you are ever in Rogers, AR, then it's worth a visit to the small Daisy museum downtown. Some pictures that I had to take in the restrooms while there:
