Quartering shoulder shot lodged in opposite shoulder. 245gr PB shot at around 20ft.

well obviously it did its job but, at 20ft you should never recover a bullet!!! even if it was from butt to brisket straight on shot!!!

It was barely under the hide in a tennis ball sized bulge. There was bone imbedded in it also. It put every ounce of energy into him

Looked like it worked fine to me. Shoot some deer with highpower that close & id bet a few wouldnt pass thru either. I like dumping all that energy into the deer. No wasted energy. What does personel defence ammo have in common with PB? Most will not exit as a round that pencils thru wont kill as quick

I expected so. I don't necessarily desire a complete pass-thru myself, as long as I get to the other side, or just out, and expend all the energy into the animal. Makes for short tracking most times.
