While OU players were celebrating elsewhere, Striker ran over to the UT players walking off the field toward the tunnel. Striker started taunting UT players and fans walking with them all the way to the goal post. The UT players showed great restraint. It could have easily become a fight. That's when CBJ said what he said to Striker. Then Striker turned and went to the OU fan corner."
Maybe this is how it happened. I don't know but this is a poster on VN. If so, does this change things? If you watch video of striker, it is obvious he is down in end zone by himself taunting.

I just seen were striker, and another player is getting punished by there coach for flipping off Vol fans after interception.
If this is the case, and from the report I read it is. Then I don't blame cbj, or any coach for any team in the same situation at all for saying something about staying classy :super:

Here's why CBJ was upset... He figured out after 27 games that he was 13-14 and had the same record as Dooley after 27 games. We can jump on the bandwagon and talk about what a great job CBJ does recruiting. In the end it's all about W-L and Ron Zook knows what happens next.

But no one wants to respond to second post in this thread which seems likely to be what really happened. Doesn't fit their agenda if butch was basically keeping striker from instigating a fight with his players.

Yep, he did. In no way did the way he addressed it support that he sought out Striker to admonish him. I have showed plenty that says it probably happened differently than most on here are trying to make it sound. Nobody has followed up with anything that points to him seeking out Striker.

I don't agree with field goal personaly, but its 3 pts, how many field goals did your team kick?
If he would have went for it and came up short, the pot stirrers would be saying get the sure points. Its a catch 22.
He should have gone for it.
However, that is not the spot of the ball. It was moved back to the 1 after the replay. We got screwed out of a half yard, not that it matters, because he wouldn't have gone for it anyway. Nice try though :tu: !
