Well, after shooting a doe with the rage 3 blade I was VERY impressed with the entry hole! Big cuts! But the down side of them, it tore up my blades really bad! Like dinged then and also bend the blades where I couldn't close them, so my review is. If you can spare the $ to buy new ones or blades then they are worth it. Great entry hole! Weak blades.

Well said. I am a poor boy and can't afford them. The carnage is awesome if you can afford to drop that kind of coin

I like the wound channels I've seen in pics and videos, but I too don't have the money to drop on a new BH/blades for every deer. Can kill multiple deer with one thunderhead and they are only $20/3pack

I've had the same impression with my 2 blades. I shot two deer and a turkey last week, and it ruined all three pairs of blades.

But you have to way in how much more accurate they are,the killing ability they have, and the recovery record that you will have with them.I have been shooting them for a few years now and I have shot 11 deer with them and watched 10 of them fall with in sight of my stand, only lost one and it was my fault with a bad shot. So I cant afford not to shoot them!!!!!

my Thunderheads are as accurate as field points....

And I've seen one deer go down in sight, but the reason I don't see many fall in sight is because of undergrowth. The only deer that went farther than 100 yd were poor shot placement.

I used a shwacker on my first deer this year. It got full passthrough and stuck in the ground. It didn't hold up to well as the tip and blades are messed up already.

same here...big hole in a doe last sunday night. There is a liquidation outlet here in town, and they had 6 packs of the rage 3 blades bc the blades had punctured the package. So i picked one up just to try them...bought them for $20 for 3 BH and a practice tip. Should have bought them all

I always change out the blades or re-sharpen them on any broadhead after shooting a deer, even if they look like new. Cheap insurance IMO.

Well I bought the grim reaper x bow 100 gr. with 1/12 inch cut. Have not shot a deer yet but I was told the broad head will be toast. At 40.00 bucks for 3 that could get into your wallet in a hurry.

I was a big rage 2 blade fan until I started using the shwackers, which give the same big entry holes and the blades are thicker so I could use the same heads over and over. I never use the same head twice so I guess it really doesn't matter anyway.

I shot a doe with a wasp jackhammer, passed through and stuck in the ground, just re -sharpened blades today ready too hunt with tommrrow, deer didnt run 20 yards. and jack hammers are about $10 cheaper then rage or grim reapers, also shot a hog the same day and it didnt run 20 yards with a shwacker it also passed through and stuck in ground looks perfect and also has an ok price tag.

I hear the NAP Killzone is supposed to have more substantial blades than the rage... Anyone have any experience with these. They're basically a rage with a detented blade retention instead of the o-ring. You can get 3 for $20 on ebay right now.

I hear good things about the Killzone. Never shot em but if I wanted to try expandables I'd give the Killzone a try
