What quota hunts are within 1-2 hours of Blount County? Usually apply for and get drawn for Chuck Swan, but may want to try something else next year. BTW, planning to be at Chuck Swan Friday and Saturday!

Me too. It will be my 9 year olds first deer hunt ever.

Catoosa, it's a decent quota hunt. The worst thing about chuck swan is its not a bonus buck. I hunted it last year and my buddy killed a buck besides him there was only 3 other bucks killed on a 500 quota. I won't hunt chuck swan again unless something changes I think it's the worst public hunt for a buck in the state. I'd love to see you kill a stud and change my mind though. Good luck to you.

I'm really excited for y'all.

I'd much rather your boys smoke a big one than me!

Thanks guys! Have considered applying for Yuchi before. Look forward to your reports!

you'll need 2-3 priority points for the Nov gun hunt.

I had 5 this year but gave up on PI

I also live in Blount Co. here are the ones I've considered, prentice cooper, Chuck swan, Yucchi, Catoosa, Oak Ridge, and Hiwassee. These are the ones I can think of. Most are realistically more like 1.5-2 hours away. There are also three WMA's in our area that offer good hunting too.

Also, here is a great resource for locating WMA's and calculating distance.
