Checked the radar this morning and it was showing a couple of small, light green cells in my area. I had to be at work by 9 but decided to go give it a shot. That proved to be a good choice. Had 6 at 8:00 and had already told myself 8:10 was the absolute latest I could hunt. I hadn't seen a single hickory nut all morning which is super odd for this spot, but decided to check one last little spot that normally produces. Walked up the hill and it was loaded. Killed 3 more in 15 min and was watching number 10 when I finally figured I better check the time on my phone. It was 8:21 and as bad as I hated to leave one squirrel short I didn't want to be late.

Also, I bought a Bergara BMR 22 LR a few weeks ago. This was the second hunt with it and I can already tell my CZ won't be seeing near as much use going forward. This little thing is a tack driver and carries like a dream.
