Question on a bass I caught

I caught a largemouth bass the other day and its gills had white spots all over them like little white round specks or bumps. Have yall ever seen this and if so what is it? The fish appeared very healthy other wise just weird. I caught it out of a creek.

No, I did not get a picture should have took one just wasn't thinking.
they looked like jalopeno pepper seeds maybe 8 or nine on each side stuck to the gills. We caught 6 bass and that was the only one with them. 3 of the bass came from the same hole.

It could have also been Glochidia you saw on the fishes gills. Many species of freshwater mussel have a parasitic larval stage that attaches to fish gills (Glochidia). The mussel will expell the larvae into the mouths of passing fish and the larvae attach to the gills. They will develop there and drop off to settle to the bottom and mature later on. Many mussells have fish-like lures to attract fish so they can expell the larvae directly into the fishes mouth.

Nimrod I think yall got it looks like it. I guess its a parasite. I fished it again today and only one fish had it that I caught and it was only one white spot I took a pic so will try to put it on here.
