Pretty good weekend

Went Saturday and where I went the bream were definitely not on bed yet.
My buddy and I caught 59 bream and kept 32.
Caught a bunch of big fat females that looked ready to pop. Threw all those back of course.
Caught 11 big nice shellcrackers. My buddy caught 8 and they were all keepers. I caught 3 with 1 keeper.
When the clouds went away and the sun popped out they completely stopped eating.

I went yesterday to another spot and every one of my go to spots either had someone on them or they were real close.
Never saw anyone catch anything though.
I did hit one of my spots and caught 5 bream, all big females. Had to keep one as she swallowed the hook.
Went after the crappie and caught 65 with 5 keepers.
Best one was 13" and weighed 1 pound 4 ounces.
Another probably weighed at least that much but was shorter.
Actually a good day there to have 5 keepers out of only 65 fish.

Now the work starts. LOL

told my grandson some spots to fish from the bank and he wore out the blue cats where bluegill should be. he had three that filled up a gallon ice cream bucket full of filets.

NIce haul Ruger. Feed the crappie to company and the gills for yourself. That's usually how I do it.

I actually bagged up the crappie to give to my buddy that fished with me Saturday.
I'm gonna give him the shellcracker too since he caught all but one of them.
Bream are mine.
