How many of you shoot the powerbelt aero tip bullets??(the green tipped ones) I got a new gun and now shooting pellets and these bullets. they shoot great for accuracy while sighting in so i felt real comfortable with shooting them...

My question is how do you like the results with them?? i shot an 8 point sunday morning and had good luck ...i shot him right above the shoulder and it was a complete pass through..the deer only ran about 20 yards so that is awesome...my problem is the entrance and exit hole were exactly the same size...there was hardly any blood on the ground where he ran..i heard him fall and like i said he did not go far so it was easy to find him but i worry that if i do not see exactly where he goes next time it will be tough to find without a blood trail... it absolutly messed him up on the inside, had the red bloody stuff everywhere(after shock).

has anyone else used these and had any problems?? If i make a shot like i did its not a problem because it did not go far but it worries me...i know those tips are not made to expand but i thought it would of made a little bigger hole...by the way 295gr bullet and 100gr powder

Any thoughts??

never had a problem with them, shoot them in the heart lung area and you will have plenty of blood on the ground they have always expanded inside out completly on the bullets me and my buds have recovered, cant get any more dead than dead!

I shoot the same combo, and it expands just fine. The few I have recovered looked like quarters. The deer seem to bleed just fine too. Me and my muzzy love 'em ;)

Good results here. I Shoot 2 pellets of 777 and a 295gr aero tip PB. Very accurate. I've heard a lot of negative about them, but the fact is if you hunt long enough with anything, You'll eventually get bad results a time or two

the higher up that you shoot a deer the less blood you will have,a low heart/lung shot will let more blood out instead of pooling in the body.i have never lost a deer shot with them, shooting 245hp with 2 pellets 777mag at the moment but have killed a bunch with 295hp & areo tip.its been very few deer i have had to track with them.i want all of the energy from the bullet transfered to the deers body.arrows kill by bleeding out a critter, bullets kill with shock to the organs,a pass thru is a waste of energy,

I used them in a CVA firebolt ultramag and in a Remington 700 ML and did not have any luck with either gun. I switched to the 245gr hollow points, and my results were much better.

I shoot a 338 grain areo tip power belt platinum. Never had a problem with them . All 3 deer I shot this year so far have had good blood . I guess , it depends on the gun/load and a lot on shot placement.

My father in law shoots them in CVA, he shot a doe high above the shoulder and they did the same thing. The next weekend he shot a hog in Tellico and it turned the hog a complete 180 and it dropped where it was standing. We dug the bullet out and it was about the size of a bottle cap stuck in the opposite shoulder.
