...I'll bring the 17 yr bourbon. Just picked up a bottle of Kentucky Vintage. Only two stores here in Nashville were lucky enough to get it and I grabbed one of the last two on the shelf at one of them. It supposedly has some bourbon from 21 and 23 yr barrels in it. We'll see how the tasting goes.

They also had a single bottle of 23 yr rye on the shelf.
 
Let me go get that other bottle they have on the shelf. Looks like there will be a need for two.

They had one bottle of 23 yr rye, but the reviews I've read say it has too much oak in it.
 
You're right. I may have to get another one anyway. This was purchased for a trip to see friends in Charleston in a couple months, but I may test it before then.

Well, you may not want to use a 17 year Bourbon for soaking chips and filling the drip pan :crazy: I think a bottle of Jim Beam could be dedicated to this task.

My thoughts exactly....Old Crow, baby!
