I'm an 870 guy, but I've been using a savage stevens 410 to turkey hunt with for last few years... it's absolutely annihilated anything in its path... furthest I've shot so far is 40 yards but I don't think I'd have an issue trying one at 60 with this gun, it's pretty impressive... no kick, no packing a heavier gun around, but still got plenty of range.

About the only time I would advocate for a pistol grip on a shotgun would be for turkey hunting. The main reason being that you are often times hunting by yourself and having to use the other hand for slates and other calls. Pistol Grip Shotguns can make a one hand hold on a shot gun much easier and for longer period of times.

Last few years I have been using a Charles Daly 410 bore> Using #9 TSS it's a turkey killer. Does have some limitations on range, but it gets the job done without shoulder problems. Love it and 20 gauge 870 shooting TSS 8 1/2 x 10 mix

Have the same gun. Shot three 3 1/2" shells out of it when I first got it. And said nope not today Satan. Went to the 3" Longbeard #5 with an Indian Creek .660 choke and it was lights out. Now I shoot 2 3/4" #9 TSS with the same choke and it puts up amazing numbers at 40 yards. Definitely a killer but those 3 1/2" shells rattle the old sphincter.
