I have said this for years. I took a class on chemical immobilization of animals and was amazed at was was being used on captive wildlife. The use of these drugs is heavily regulated when used on wild animals and there are protocols in place to prevent hunters from killing an animal that may contain these drugs, but those controls are absent in the captive wildlife industry. Some of those drugs linger in the animal for months after immobiization and are very potent!
