My dad has asked me to locate him about 10 persimmon seeds so he can plant them at his house. I haven't seen one around my area in years and don't know where to turn. Anybody able to help on this? I will pay shipping.

I harvested 2 dozen last year. Wrapped them up and throught them in the freezer for 4 months.. took them out and planted in planters... not a single one sprouted for me.
Dont know.. I will try it again I guess. Or just buy some of those ones from the state.

Put them in the fridge not a freezer. Keep them in the fridge in a damp paper towel inside a ziplock bag. Check them every now and then to make sure the paper towel stays moist.

Does it help it you pick them out of o'possum poop? I thought that might help them germinate.
I've got several old fields that have new persimmon seedlings start every year. Seems animal "poop" is an easy way to grow the trees.
