My 2 yr. old twins love sweet peas and carrots. Last year, I tried a couple of fancy shmancy California varieties, and they tasted like cardboard. They just weren't meant for our climate. I need sweet! Can anyone recommend a very sweet pea cultivar and a juicy carrot variety (also sweet) to keep my twins from beating me up? :rotf:

Nope, can't help ya.

Sure like the pictures though.

I could never grow carrots at all. Mine went to seed practically overnight.

Peas I never tried.

I have these peas - Oregon Giant Dwarf Snow Peas. This is my second year planting them - the first year I over crowded them with green beans (which grew faster) and choked them out. However, I plan on planting them again. The few I harvested were very sweet. They didn't make it into the house cause I ate them while I was picking other stuff..lol
