Paper tune?

I was shooting my bow yesterday and the arrow flight didnt look quite right how far away do you put the paper in between the bow and the target??? Wanting to try to tune this thing myself

Paper tuning is a good tool but several things have to be dang near perfect for it to work. A guy told me on the golf course one day " if you want to see a bad shot then watch yourself ". With that said, are you trying to watch your arrow flight or did someone else notice it? If you are trying to watch it yourself that could be the problem by not fully finishing the shot. Is it one arrow that seems to be doing it or does all of them fly funny? Any jacked up fletchings? Spine to weak or stiff?
