Lookin cloudy so far. Wonder how the deer will move this morning. Sitting here in my climber in this sketchy hackberry. I don't think these trees' bark were meant for climbers. But it holds me and I kilt a buck out of it last week. Now ill put down the phone and listen for a bit while watching squirrels.

Caught a glimpse of a deer thru the bushes at about 40 yd. haven't seen it in 5-10 mins so it probably slipped away. Also saw a deer running in a field across the creek about 300 yd away. They're up and moving

Sitting since 530 in Henderson cty. 2 slicks at daylight. One with fawn. No over the shoulder looks and no shaking of the tail. nothing since. Guess we are still a few days out here. At least the woods smell like pee because of me.

I was covered up with stuff about 6:something until I shot. There was still one hanging around and my half-track buck was walking by as I climbed down. Killed a beautifull fat doe, weight about 60-pounds. Kinda proud of my shot downhill at 122-yards.

Good deal bw.

I'm heading down the tree soon. Nothing but 2,641 robins to listen to or watch, gonna scope out a couple areas to potentially hang my stand in the future.

Had one more momma and two young come by at 20 til 9. Sun was just starting to peak from clouds. They came and hung out directly underneath my stand. Thought about jumping down on em Rambo style with my knife, realized I was 25+ feet in the air and tethered to a tree. Let em walk. No buck trailing for an hour now.

I saw 2 chasing at a distance around 7 this morning, too far to see rack. Had doe come in around 7:30 without any pressure. Game cams are still showing nocturnal movement for older bucks. At 9:00 saw a nice 8pt trying to cross the hwy. This weekend should have some movement. This is all in the Northwest corner of Williamson Co.

Slow for me this morning, just a fawn and later a 2 yr old that was lovesick and wandering aimlessly!

Well I went and scouted a while. As far as deer sightings, I bumped one off the bed and saw 3 does sneaking along the bank across the creek on another property. As far as scouting I found very good sign and marked a couple spots to hang the climber. One is a funnel sort of area to catch the morning movement, and another is overlooking a killer rub line. Pics to come
