I usually wash my clothes in scentless detergent and let clothes hang out before I go hunting and keep them in a bag. I also use scent less soap and deo before I hunt. I've used all that stuff at walmart to kill scents and believe that if a deer is coming in your wind , it's gonna sense something unusual no matter what you have sprayed on. What's everyone's else thought on the scent?

Same here alot of people spend 300 on clothing. I personally think its just the name IMO. maybe wrong lol wouldn't be the first Time.

Scent lock. Scent blocker. Scent this scent that. All a bunch of crap. Now the clothes do fit and feel good but in the end its all just a bunch of high dollar crap. Deer care about as much on how you smell as they care about what color you are wearing and what color your gear is when you kill them. What they do care about is something that ain't normal and what's normal all depends on where you hunt. Good example is places like Ft. Campbell. Thousands of soldiers running around for days and weeks with no showers and using the bathroom when and where they can and people still think a deer knows the difference between pee from a hunter and pee from a soldier.

Three words come to mind. Marketing, hassle, and futility. Like an old bow hunting mentor used to say, "Until they figure out how to put 'downwind' in a bottle"...

Don't forget the towels!

If you wash up in scent free and then proceed to dry off with a towel that smells like laundry detergent and Bounty you just defeated the purpose of the shower.

I have a couple towels I set aside for hunting season. I wash them in scent free laundry detergent and spray them down with Scent Killer after use.

Like Grill-n-man said they are good quality and fit pretty good. The colors don't seem to fade as quickly as the cheaper stuff. But not sure beyond that. I know several guys that hang their stuff outside after hunting and never worry about all the scent stuff and kill many deer. My first time hunting many many years ago I splashed on brute cologne not knowing any better. My brother dogged me about that for years and although I didn't shoot anything I did see a nice buck.

I use sent free detergent and that is pretty much it. Clothes get stored in a tote with cedar branches and hickory leaves because that is what I have in my yard. Works great for me. The only time I wash my clothes during hunting season is if bloody or get real sweaty. I don't get dressed until step out of truck

I think everywhere is different. deer that are exposed to more populated areas may net be as effected by human scent compared to a deer that has never been exposed to people. All I can say is that from my experience, is that when I started trying to control my scent, my deer sightings have at least doubled. I wash clothes with fresh earth scent and put clothes in sealed bag with a fresh earth dryer sheet. I wash myself in scent free soap and dry to spray down with fresh earth before hitting the woods. Since I started controlling my scent, Ive had deer walk within 5 yards of me sitting in a blind and never have a clue. But I do think a lot of it depends on the deer too.
