What's your thoughts.I know there not a field gun but for those who hunt in the mtns. what do you think?

where ya been man! Or where have I been.
I knew i could depend on you for this!

I have a 30-30 as all americans should but i'm thinking of getting a 35 as well, of course i've been in the #12 tonight too!

Ive just got a thing for lever guns! Man I love em all, especially the .444 Marlin. I hand load mine...not much variety with factory ammo though. ;)

I saved almost a whole summer when I was 15 to buy my Marlin 30-30 out of a pawn shop! I love it,I still have it,its only been 7 years since.I just put a new scope on it,I hope to get to use it again this year on a good buck!

Killed my first deer with a Win model 94 in 32 Win Special, which also happens to be my Great Grandad's gun. I still hunt it some, and it still does the job, but the thing kicks like a mule. I also have a Savage 99 in .308, and I absolutely love that rifle. I want a Win Model 88 in .358 and a stainless Marlin Guide gun in 45-70, maybe some day I will have them. If I were a dedicated short to medium range mountain hunter with boar/deer/bear on the menu, I would like a .358, 45-70, or 450 Marlin with a low power fixed or low power variable scope.

I have a Marlin 1895SS in 45/70 that has been bloodied the past 3 years in a row. Absolutely love it for a woods gun. No scope, just a Lyman peep in the rear. My first rifle was a Marlin 336C in 35 Remington that for some reason I got rid of because I thought I "needed" a bolt action rifle, wish I still had that rifle.

I got the 1895g in 45/70 that i bought to hog and bear hunt with and you can't find a better gun to carry for the brush. I've found my self over the last couple of years to carry it deer hunting instead of my other rifles.

I love my levers. Especially my XLR 444 a real thump-er. All marlins.
With my 444 their is not much meat Damage with a good shot and a 270 gr. Gold Dot, but the Hornady LE's are too soft at close range IMO

My first rifle was a lever action Winchester model 88 in .308. I killed a lot of deer with that rifle but got the hots for a bolt action .270 and traded the winchester. Kind of wish I still had it. :(

Lever action guns are just something special. I'd love 2 get my hands on a 1894 octagon barreled .44.

I've seen several on here for sale. Just never seem to have the cash when they come open.

I only have one lever rifle. Its a 1894 Marlin in 44 Remington Magnum. She would certainly be at home in the hils.

I have a marlin 30-30 that was my first gun.I still hunt with it and my sons uses it.Lever action some of the best made.

I only have one rifle - it is a Marlin in .357 - not a big gun, but stay in 60 yards and it never fails. I would like something bigger, but I won't let go of this one.
