Operation Last hoorah! Updated

Well finally backwater is out and ice is gone talked to our group last weekend I figured this week would be our best week of the season . So we decided to take thur fri off and hunt thurs - Sunday for one last hoorah before season ends .... . Well our hunch was right day one started with a bang ... 5 shooters = 20 mallards 3 gadwal 2 teal and 1 widgeons ... by 12 we were limited on mallards and we're sitting birds on the water waiting for bonus birds . Hope other three days are just as good

Hope the rest of the season is as good as Thursday. Going to be warm but maybe the wind will be strong.

Well today ended with 16 . Was another decent day didn't see half the birds as yesterday but they worked good and were feet down in the hole . Best part was at 1:00 a pair of black ducks came in dropped one and the other sailed down but couldn't find . So I have a pretty hen to go with my drake if I wanna mount it also..... no bands still

Well today ended with 15... few mallards gadwal and 4 shovelers which is pretty rare for us

Finally over. Sat from sunrise to sense and ended with ten birds . Friend missed a black duck but managed to kill shovelers gadwal woodies and mallards . Been a good 4 days to wrap our season up
