Opening morning success

Caught this guy slipping through at 6:45 opening morning. He crossed a small gap at the end of the field and I couldn't tell much about his headgear but his body looked like a bull. Grabbed my gun and got on him as he slipped into the woods and made the decision to take the shot. Had about two seconds to decide before he would be behind some thick brush.165 yards. My little boy was with me.

Skinned him out yesterday at noon and had him simmering about 3. Stayed up til about 11 last night, simmer for a while, pick and clean then back in the pot. Let him dry over night and simmered for another hour today after church
