Around 4 pm or so, they materialized to my right, suddenly the woods lit up with white tails floating through the cedars. They stopped several times, then turned around and came back. I took a shot, and removed a nice chunk of a cedar tree. They didn't give me another shot before they were gone, but one stray doe came back from another direction and let me get a more steady shot.

Been hunting this thicket for the past 2+ weeks, and the deer have not followed a pattern....some days I saw none at all. I love cedar glade hunting when it comes together.

#9 for the season, some of it for coworkers, some for the grinder, and some to make an excuse to finally buy a real decent dehydrator.

thanks Ricky I always had that spot in the back of my head, something just made me want to try it a couple weeks ago and I got busted by that herd of does on the first hunt. So I told myself I was going to kill one out of there

sometimes it's hard not to get busted late season. It all worked out for you.

glad you got the deer you were after. I fine wrap to a great season
thanks. She's probably the last but I will keep hunting till the end. Do you do any good for squirrels on warmer days in January? I got a spot full of fox squirrel I want to go to after deer season but squirrels are usually holed up during that time of year.
