Steven is right... the best is to wait for two weeks. Yes.. we all get excited to plant but you will have very good results if you are patient & wait until it is completly brown and crunchy. * Check and you will see the differnce of the sound & feel of the grass ect. when it is dead and ready to work up.
Advantages = easy to mow / easy to disk / dead grass acts as straw to provide moisture for your seed / the longer you wait, the longer your plot will be effective into the hunting season and keep your growth young and tender as possible.
