Oil in Gulf????

I don't know if anyone knows the answer to this but i thought i'd ask anyway. I am going to Biloxi, MS tomorrow and will be there Fri.-Sun. I know the oil has started to hit the gulf there and there is a storm there right now. I was wanting to possibly fish from the shore or a pier, but i have 2 questions.

1. do you have to by a salt water license in MS?

2. Am I wasting my time since the oil hit and they will just be coming off a storm?

I don't want to eat the fish, so that is not an issue.

1) yes Mississippi requires a salt water fishing license.

2) The storm will probably affect the fishing moore than the oil, however, most of the marine areas are closed to fishing at this time.
