Don't laugh but....a Mission Menace II. I got this bow to bow fish with and in shooting it, I couldn't believe how quiet it is. I haven't deer hunted in a couple yrs but I think this bow will do just fine on a deer for no more than I plan on going.

It will kill them just as dead as the the super bows. I hunted with a guy for years that used an old Bear Whitetail II, he killed the heck out of deer. It's fun to dress up a new rig, but any bow made today is light years ahead of what we shot in the 80s.

Here is my hoopty. Not fancy by any means, but it's a killer.

Parker frontier 2 plus
Truglo 3 pin (lost the little light years ago)
Ripcord code red
Goldtip XT hunters
Muzzy 3 blade 100gr

2011 Hoyt Alphaburner... I used to buy, sell, and trade bows all the time but I haven't shot anything yet that makes me want to get this one. It shoots too dang nice and tunes as easy as any I've owned. Took very little work to get it stacking bare shafts and fletched out to 40 and will shoot any fixed blade you screw on it. Plus I'm a big fan of spiral cams on anything.

VERY cool!! I want that bow! I'd love to have a bow with spirals that would serve as a hunting/target bow.

Thanks man. It does both of those pretty well. I'm not a great shot by any means but I shot a 300 53x with it this past year with it still rigged for hunting and my skinny hunting shafts.
