Got this one about a week ago.
Nice kill. You go old school with the camo flannel shirt?

I appreciate the kind words guys,
Yep, flannel works just as good as camo for me. And it is a recurve, a Samick Sage 45# at 28" although I only have about a 26" draw length so my actual draw weight is a little less. I was hunting from the ground when I got him. And as Stykbow said, the video of the hunt is posted in the traditional bowhunting forum, but here's the link if you're interested https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erClgW_Zx0I
On my youtube channel I also have another video of getting a spike with the same set up, but from a treestand.

Wiggy, I agree flannel works great. I was busy and wasn't able to hunt one morning, but wanted to go find my arrow I had lost the night before and scout some things out. It was so nice out I decided to just climb up and sit in my stand for a few minutes to enjoy the view. Amost as soon as I got in my stand 3 does came walking by. I was wearing blue jeans and a flannel shirt sitting in a 10 ft ladder stand with no cover. Works like a charm lol.

deer 3 sumner county

rage in the cage

never thought id say that i absolutely refuse to use one due to my cant standing tiffany labowaski
but the ones are use are so expensive and changing blades is impossible i thought id try some of the rage x bow 2 blades and they are 10 bucks cheaper

well tonight i got to field test them.

i got a co worker from about 15 years ago that has tried to get me to come hunt his 7 acres in sumner county. i had good places close and i had already killed one in sumner back in 06 so i never really put no effort to go out there. due to the fact i lost 2 good spots in williamson county and picked up 500 in houston and 258 in perry i thought this might be the year to go up there and try it. he said he has so many deer that if i didnt come kill them he was gonna start peppering them with his 12 gauge. I made it up there this eve saw a few had this lil one come in at 33 yds

perfect shot entrance and exit was awesome but the dang thing ran 80 yds which i thought was a lil much im used to 50yds or less with my excalibur x-act 100 mechanical heads

good evening

Started not to go today because my stand is set up more for a North wind but You can't killem on the couch. This guy came out about 35 yards away when shooting light was almost gone. I sent the arrow but could not see it all the way to him because of the light but I heard it hit him and felt it was a pretty good shot. He turned and ran the way he came and I could only see him for about 5 yards. I waited awhile and went and found the arrow coved with blood, started tracking and found him about 40 yards away. Not big but will be tasty.

Killed this 3 pt at 9:15am 10/31/15
Oak ridge WMA quota hunt

Had him at 25 yards but couldn't decide if I wanted to take him or not.
I watched him for a minute then he darted off to 42 yards slightly quartering away.
Let one rip and he jumped the string ended up hitting him in the neck. He ran 15 yards and toppled over.

1st buck I've ever killed. And first deer with a bow.

Shooting a Parker trailblazer xp. 70# draw. 100gr muzzy

Tough hunting friday and sat but this morning it was right in TN

shot two dry does 85 and 77 lbs dressed and a 4 pointer dressed 110

the 7mm/08 was on point like a laser with the 140 nosler e-tip great performance

life is good

mike belt enjoy the smiles this year cant get over with soon enough lol

My first buck ever. I have hunted for over 10 years and taken many a doe but have always wanted my first buck to mean something more and be a mature buck. Laid the smoke pole to him on opening day. Scored 123 but had the body of the 150 class. Weighed over 200 after dressed. That was a high I will never forget.
