Now hear this

Now hear this

It's time for the females to start their cycle to get the big boys FIRED UP!!

Here's what is needed:

Where are you at, what you are seeing and what time of day

LET'S GET READY TO RUUUUMMMMMBBLLLLLE

Williamson County

I've noticed an increase in car accidents involving deer on the police scanner at night! It's just a week or so away and its GO TIME!!

Marshall County

Small scrapes starting to appear but on stand not seeing any increase in activity...still a few weeks away where I hunt in Marshall.

Tipton Co.

Saw a 4 or could be a six ( couldn't tell if he had brows ) pushing 5 does around this afternoon about 5:30. Came in with his tail straight out and tore up :D He was pushing them around pretty good.

YEAH MAN!!!

He was looking for some booo-tay

Seq Co.

Last week, and on the juvy hunt, saw bucks chasing some does. Scrapes have appeared, and a few rubs have been found.

Few scrapes and rubs in he Hickman. No chasing. Usually don't see the chasing start u til the 11th by my notes from each year.

I would consider it starting here in Smith County, I saw to small bucks following a doe and then shortly after two more small bucks sparing all standing in a field near the doe and then old granddad came out walking the walk and took over and followed the doe off with all four of the smaller ones following way behind. I also saw his scrap I assumed last weekend on the juvy hunt and a couple of smaller scraps.

Morgan Co - watched small buck pushing a doe step for step, the doe's yearlings were following behind and having a hard time keeping up. Noticed new, fresh scrapes on Saturday for juvi hunt and rubs are showing up more and more...

Watched a young 9 point dog a doe through the funnel I was hunting 3 separate times this morning. White/Cumberland county line area

Scraping absolutely exploded on my place last week (normal peak breeding Nov. 12-19). On clients properties with slightly later peak breeding dates, scraping is just starting.

Older bucks are just now expanding their ranges in most of western Middle TN.

Several scrapes found, seen deer this morning (doe's) pass through with their tales sticking up and straight out.
Checked the pet 2.5 year old doe that runs wild up here and she is smelling pretty bad...guess she will breed this year.Still early but in a week or so it will be crazy.

I'm going to put in a long sit late next week. Either November 6th or 7th. I've always heard these are good dates to be in the woods.

I haven't been in the woods since the 19th but when I was there started seeing rubs and some scrapes. no chasing and I haven't seen bucks with does on the way to work in the fields, but have seen bucks on their feet starting this Wednesday.

If you're after older, bigger bucks, they usually are most active during daylight in the 10 days prior to the beginning of peak breeding for that location.

Saw a really good 3 year old 2 does and a half rack 2 year old in the back yard this evening. Its getting close boys!

Just heard on police scanner a deer standing on 65 at Moores Ln...just standing in the middle of the hwy. Kinda odd

Yea that is odd... On stand this evening had a four point come through nose down at 4:15. Then at dusk ha a full blown chase it looked like 2 young bucks chasing a does all through the thicket next to me. This weekend should be good!

Went last eve, saw 6-7, could have been the same one a couple of times I suppose. Watched a lone doe eventually get joined by another one, then as they were walking out of sight, what I believe to be a buck, busted out of the thicket and hit their trail. As I got to the stand initially, within 30 min I had rattled in a pretty big spike also.

On the way into work at 3:30 c.s.t. had a big buck stiff leg it across the road in front of me, just inside the Dunlap city limits. Very large deer, very tall head gear.
