I haven't hunted deer in 45 years so my exposure to deer behavior is what I see around my property. The other morning, I was out on the back porch having a cup of coffee and heard what I thought was a deer snorting. I just assumed a nearby deer smelled me and just snorted. I looked off into the woods and there was a doe about 50 yards away and it continued to snort about every 5 seconds for about a minute. I could see her head clearly and she was shaking it side to side, kinda like a dog shaking water out of it's ears. Do deer get allergies like humans, 'cause it sure sounded like she was having a sneezing fit.

Obviously I am no expert on this subject, but I would say that deer could be bothered by pollen or something else in their environment. Both my boxers have allergies and I know that horses can have allergies so why not deer. Just my opinion obviously no science to back it up except my interactions with other animals.
