I was gonna a bag of the horn madness and some more oats . What oats do get at co-op besides the buck forage oats. I was gonna buy some by the pound ?

I've always just gotten the regular "Co-op oats". I did a comparison several years ago with 1/2 the field co-op oats and the other 1/2 buck forage oats. Put a camera splitting the two in the middle. Could not tell a difference in preference whatsoever.

VNS oats (VNS = Variety Not Specified). Basically, generic oats. I get the same for wheat and cereal rye. Just DON'T get "feed" wheat, oats or rye.
Planted my plots. Had rain day or planting about 11 days ago. Then this TS Fred came over. Going tomorrow to see if all my seed got washed away or maybe they stuck from them first rain. If it looks bad. I'm going to the co op and getting oats and winter wheat. Hoping for the best

Black oats are a good variety. They are very cold hardy and deer readily eat them.
