Neighbor just told me Normandy lake is only 30-40 minutes from the house. Never been there before but would like to check it out.

What is the closest ramp if you are coming from Murfreesboro?
Is it decent/safe?

What do you fish for on Normandy? Bass/catfish/crappie/rockfish?

Thanks for any info.

Barton springs would be the best probably. Exit on 105 then turn right on Blanton Chapel, Right on Lyndell Bell, Go across the lake and you'll see everything on the right...It's several miles off the beaten path so you gotta pay attention... :D

Normandy is an awesome lake to fish though. It should be worth the trip for you. :)

I'm a bass fisherman so that's about all I fish for unless I'm on Tims, then I kinda lean toward the rockfish.

Thanks!

I was fishing the South end of Priest occasionally but it gets really crowded. Figured I would try a new spot.

Yea, screw those lakes up there around the city. Tims and Woods are too crowded for me during the summer months. I can't stand to be rocked around all day by skiers and sea doers.... :D

used to bass fish it a lot about 8+ years ago and never did any good. My parents and I used to go about every weekend and just never could get on any decent fish, we cought some little slicks here and there but thats about all. Not sure how it is these days

Normandy has been hot lately. We fished a small tourn a couple of weeks ago and it took 21 pounds to win. I've several others guys who have gone in the last two weeks and tore them up. All the fish are shallow and will hit plastin, jig, or spinnerbait.
