It's all cloudy to me. Is the original 8mil deal not a signed contract? If it's a contract I assume there are stipulations where they have the right to renegotiate and that either party can walk away if they so choose.

Nico filled out the portal paperwork Friday night.
Some school is going to give him what he wants. I think the guy at Duke is making close to $4 mil. I can't even recall his name.

I understand that, I just wonder if him leaving for money in the manner he did doesn't crash his stock and he ends up transferring to a lesser program for less money. Or, will he ultimately get what he's after.

I imagine it would be hard for a program to consider him a franchise quarterback at this point knowing if you invest heavily and coach him up he's just going to leave to the highest bidder…. Even if there isn't one?

If true I hope he got less than he was getting at UT. Serves him right and more so his dad. I read something that he had a "do not contact" label on himself which means he knew where he was going or would let you know if interested in your school. That's not true. Nico had a better completion, yards, less interceptions and the same amount of touchdown passes as Tee in his best year.

KIFFIN: That could be a lot of things within that answer. I'm not really going to comment much on that because I don't know all the details. That happens a lot with media with fans obviously nowadays with how quickly things are put out or somebody says something from an unnamed source and all those things and these comments are made. In this instance about a kid and we don't even have the facts to know if the stuff and the narratives out there is even true.

So, I don't think it's really fair to take shots at him when all the facts and details of the situation aren't out there and seem to be more in favor of the program side. We're able to have a big voice as a program when a kid leaves or something because we get much more access to the media and controlling the message than the kid does.

I don't know the details in that. So, I think it's a little bit unfair what's going on, especially because I hear the other side that those details that are out there are not accurate.
