Got a new tool yesterday.

Stihl 390 20" bar

Also got the chaps and facemask/helmet to go with it. I figure since I'll be getting married its time I stop taking as many chances as I use to. I end up doing most of my chainsawing by myself so any precautions are good.

Ive got a plot Im going to get to work on Saturday to get some trees out. I'll take some pics and let you know how she does.

I have an older stihl 026 16" and a smaller husky. I needed something for cutting up trunks and dropping some bigger trees. I was looking at the farm boss but decided I wouldn't regret having something a little more should I ever have a big beach come down on a path or something. I'll give you a report after this saturday.

Stihl , only way to fly. have an 021 bout 10-12 yrs treated it bad, finally ran over it with the tractor, still ran but cracked the cover and it leaks gas , went and got a new one , not called 021 anymore they made a few changes (good) and added a few bucks , It will start every time though and thats worth something !

I have a 16" Husq and it is great. Would have gotten another one but the local John Deere statrted selling Sthils so I bought the 390 this past fall. It is as good as rhe Husqy and will cut concrete if I asked it to. great buy. I also bought a gas operated bush trimmer and it is great. used it to trim a small path on a small slightly sloping ridge in my setaside.Started with a bout a foot next to the tent then feathered it out down to abot 3-4". worked great and it was almost unnoticeable. Unfortunately I have a lot of use for it this spring.**** Please use hearing protection with any and all of this stuff. I always do and it has helped me. I even use it when running my tractor and 4 wheeler. i use my hearing a lot in the woods. Less so in the fields but you have to listen to the squirrels and birds.
