Going to try something different this year. I have box stands about twenty feet into the tree line at the bottom left and right corners that I typically sit in. This year I'm going to set up a seat on the ground in the clump of trees in the circle. I used a pole saw to cut several shooting lanes coming out from the middle, leaving the brush about waist high. To the left and bottom there are beans that were left from harvest that are about ten feet wide. There are also several small wheat & clover strips scattered next to the trees that seem to be doing well. When I think the wind is right, I'll be spending some time here. It is about 300 yards from my back porch. Just hope nothing is bedded down in there when I use it. Since I'm in a CWD county, there will be plenty of days available to try it out.
