I have 2 of the Minox ZA5 scopes and numerous Conquests. Just wondering how you are comparing the scopes.
To me, both of the scopes are optically equal in broad daylight. Resolution for both were basically the same. Both of the reticles are etched which I like. When I compared the 2 side by side at night I could easily see both reticles well past legal shooting time with ease. The turret windage and elevation knobs on the Minox's were a little soft at first. I had to tighten them down with the supplied allen wrench and they were much better. The Conquest had nice clicks right out of the box. The size of the Minox is much more appealing to me compared to the Conquest. I like the smaller ocular of the Minox and they are also lighter and shorter.
The biggest difference optically I found between the Minox and the Conquest was at dusk. IMO, the Minox edged out the Conquest. Both were excellent at dusk, I just preferred the Minox over the Conquest. It will be interesting to read your review of the 2 at dusk and to see if you see any differences.
