Another new buck. This one intrigues me. Nice 8-point.

Our bucks look pitiful after last fall and winter. Everybody looks younger than they are.

Weird stuff this year. Racks actually look pretty good but bodies are scrawny. One ancient buck actually came out of regression and grew a big rack again, even though his body is scrawny and arthritic.

Nice! We have quite a few bucks this year. Don't know where they all came from but lord knows Cathole is thicker than hair on a dogs butt this year. There is enough cover and chow there for sure!

Very nice, looks to be closer to 3.5 than 4.5.
I'm going with 3 1/2 for now. However, considering how poor our bucks are looking, he could be older. I will wait until late October to assign his final age estimate. I want to see him filled out for the rut.

He certainly looks like a buck I'd probably hammer. Some different angles would tell the tale. every year for years I've had bucks on camera. Several real nice ones. But they planted beans in the field right next to where I run my camera. Camera has been in the same spot for a decade. Wonder if the beans are keeping them occupied. It's the only thing that has changed. It's usually planted in corn.

Beans are powerful during summer. They absolutely dictate movement and bedding patterns.

Really nice 8. I'd love to see his brow tines.
Me too! But he just passed by one of my salt licks in the background. Just the one picture of him. I also got a blurry picture of his antlers as he walked too close to another camera near a different salt lick. Hopefully, I'll get video of him in a food plot. But two camera encounters in different parts of the property over a couple of day timeframe is still a good sign that he's hanging around.

Great 2s...nice! And I agree, it would be easy to under age by a year considering current body condition and time of year.
So its possible hes 4½...Nice buck!

That deer is THICK!

Yessir he ain't no spring chicken. Probably the most regular buck ive ever had on camera year to year but im guilty of overlooking him because there's always something bigger that has my attention. I first noticed him as a 2yr old back in 21 or 22 and his rack hasn't changed much at all aside from getting marginally larger.

That's a whopper UPSman! I hope we draw some really good bucks out of the bottoms once the crops are harvested.
