Went to the range today and sighted in the 300 grain shockwaves I bought a bit ago. They did excellent. For both my Encore and brothers Omega I was able to zero in with the same load

115 grains FFFG 777\

I never do normal number...but this actually shot excellent. I went up 5 grains from 110 and the 245 powerbelt just to start and it shot great. Hope this can help someone getting ready to gear up for November!

I just lined my t/c omega with 110 gr of BH209 and a 250gr shockwave. Very impressed,

I was hitting 10 inches low first shot (65 clicks UP on scope) next shot 1/2 inch low of bullseye at 38 yds . I walked back to 130yds and I was hitting 6 inches high.

I shot my Omega with 150gr of 777 pellets,and a 250 gr sabot.
It was shooting great groups 2" high, but is how the former owner of the gun had it sighted in at.
I am going to try 100gr,and stay with the 250gr bullet.Drop the scope to get it right on using the Nikon Omega BDC retical at the dots as marked. If I can shoot to the dots from 100-200 yds,all will be well.

Hi
I will start to sight in my scope this weekend. I have the omega nikon scope too. Is 100 gr 777 pellots and a 250 gr shockwave bullet a good way to go?
When you first start to sight in, and what yardage do you start with?
Also, I have the quick release for my scope, so do i start with the gun sights first, then pt the scope on and fix that. Thanks for any help.

Start at around 30. If you are bore sighted you will be on target and it should then be close at 100. I dont even mess with iron sights and unless you want to zero two sets Id just go with the scope sights.

Each gun is different, but the load you talked about should do great. The key is to clean your gun regularly and consistently. Then be consistent with the load. I clean mine after ever shot when sighting in and use a little bore butter. Good luck!
