Thank y'all for the welcomes just got the bow back from the local shop will be sighting it in this weekend . Quick question the guy at the shop said there is a velvet deer week I believe he said at the end of the month but I can not find anything online about that. Do any of y'all know if that is true or not

Yes, looks like its Aug. 23 – 25, 2024...and its a private lands hunt with a select few WMAs being open but Im not familiar with which ones? Should be able to research online or call regional office and find out.

That's about the only WMA I am aware of in this area outside Prentice Cooper which is hella busy during rifle season. Like unsafe busy IMO. Bow prob okay to explore.
